| Your First Visit At your first appointment, after obtaining a dental and medical history, a thorough and complete orthodontic examination will be performed. This will include an analysis of facial and skeletal type, assessment of facial growth, and an examination of the bite, alignment of the teeth, health of the soft tissues, and function of the jaw and adjacent supporting structure. The timing, duration, mode of indicated treatment, and fee estimate will be discussed. We will address your questions and concerns about orthodontics. If treatment is necessary, diagnostic records will be obtained. Orthodontic records usually include x-rays, photographs of the teeth and face, and models of the teeth. Orthodontic records allow documentation and a more thorough evaluation of each patient's status enabling us to develop an appropriate and individualized treatment plan. Treatment Conference Consultation After a thorough and complete diagnosis, a detailed course of treatment will be outlined for you in a treatment conference. This careful analysis allows us to provide you with a thorough understanding of the goals of treatment, patient responsibilities, and what to expect from the office. Regular Appointments We share your concern about missing school or work and schedule appointments so that each patient receives convenient appointments whenever possible. We are happy to provide school accepted excuses for appointment during school hours and our office hours. At the start of your treatment, appliance placement may take from 30 minutes to two hours. With today's advanced technology and materials, you then see us at intervals ranging from 4 to 8 weeks, for approximately 15 to 45 minutes. Our office hours in both locations are weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Payment & Office Policies Cost |
